The Minnesota Vikings just ended the 2014 campaign finishing 3rd in the NFC with a 7-9 record. The team improved by 2 games from the season before and won 2 games on the road after winning 0 the year before.
There is so much progress and such a bright future. NFL team’s success is usually based on making the playoffs and better yet winning the Super Bowl. The Vikings went through so much turmoil with a new coach, losing the best running back in the NFL and yet wins 7 games still. I know Mike Zimmer will not get coach of the year but I still feel he is worthy of some votes. I may be in minority in saying I believe it was a successful campaign.
The Vikes need to add players whether through free agency or draft in the upcoming offseason. Let’s look at positions and see where we are.
